Maiwe Mport3216 is a reliable 16-port industrial RS232/RS485 to TCP IP Ethernet serial device server, designed for seamless integration of legacy serial equipment into modern TCP/IP networks. Ideal for industrial applications requiring connectivity to PLCs, barcode scanners, display signs, security access controllers, and CNC controllers, the Mport3216 converts RS232 or RS485 serial communication to Industrial Gigabit Ethernet networking.

 

Featuring a high level of immunity against electromagnetic interference and heavy electrical surges commonly found in industrial environments, the Mport3216 ensures reliable data transmission over fiber or copper cabling. This 16-port serial server is specially designed to extend network distances efficiently while maintaining data integrity.

 

The Mport3216 enables bi-directional data transmission between one or more serial devices and a TCP/IP network, with advanced network and data redundancy features for excellent remote management capabilities. For more control options, the device server is compatible with the free, Maiwe Serial Device Management Software (MWVirtualCom). With support for up to 16 RS-232 and RS-485 devices over an Ethernet network, the Mport3216 16-port serial server offers flexibility and scalability for various industrial applications.

 

For quick installation, a convenient webpage allows users to select RS-232 or RS-485 mode for each serial port. The combo ports support 1000Base-X SFP ports, enabling optical fiber connectivity for longer transmission distances with less loss and no crosstalk. Serial tunneling is also supported, allowing two native serial devices to communicate over a network.

 

Housed in rugged 1U rackmount metal enclosures, the Mport3216 is suitable for a variety of applications and environments. With wide operating temperature support (-40℃~+70℃), the Mport3216 is designed to fulfill any industrial environmental application.
